Why Birkenshaw Locals Use Us
Birkenshaw sits at the Bradford edge of our patch, about nine miles from the yard and the furthest point we cover, on the BD11 side of Kirklees next to Birstall, Gomersal and Cleckheaton. We’ve run out of Mirfield for over 20 years, back to when the name over the door was Boulds Bins.
Four sizes cover most jobs here: 2, 3, 4 and 8 yards, about 20 to 80 bin bags. Because we only place skips on driveways, gardens and yards, Birkenshaw customers never deal with a council permit or its fee. Book a weekday, give us 24 hours, and the price you’re quoted is the price you pay.

Frequently Asked Questions
Book at least 24 hours ahead and pick a weekday. We deliver to Birkenshaw Monday to Friday. Book a day or two out and you’ll get the delivery day you want.
Not with Tiger. Kirklees requires a permit when a skip sits on a public road or pavement, and we place skips on private land only: your driveway, garden or yard. In Birkenshaw you won’t need a permit, pay a council fee or wait on paperwork.
You can keep the skip for as long as you need, within reason, at no extra cost. Please call us to arrange collection once you’re done.
Most household, garden and DIY waste: furniture, wood, metal, plastics, packaging, garden waste, soil and rubble, bricks, tiles, carpets, kitchen units and general clearout junk. Mixed loads are fine. A few items need booking in or keeping separate, including fridges, tyres and mattresses. See the list of items that are not allowed in a skip. If you’re not sure about something, ring us before you load it.
No. The price you see covers delivery and collection, however long you keep the skip. A handful of special items carry a charge, agreed up front when you book: tyres £10 each, mattresses £20 each, fridges or freezers £100 each. Plasterboard costs nothing extra with us, and your skip sits on your own property, so there’s no permit fee either. Don’t overload the skip however, as that could incur additional cost.
