Why Ossett Locals Use Us
Ossett is the one town on our patch under Wakefield Council rather than Kirklees, sitting in WF5 about six miles east of the yard with Dewsbury and Ravensthorpe in between. We deliver from Mirfield, a family firm of more than 20 years and formerly Boulds Bins.
If you’ve been reading up on Wakefield’s skip permit rules, you can stop: we place skips on private land only, so there’s no permit to apply for and no council fee. Prices run £150 to £320 with delivery and collection included, and you can keep it as long as you need, within reason.

Frequently Asked Questions
Book at least 24 hours ahead and pick a weekday. We deliver to Ossett Monday to Friday. Book a day or two out and you’ll get the delivery day you want.
Not with Tiger. Wakefield requires a permit when a skip sits on a public road or pavement, and we place skips on private land only: your driveway, garden or yard. In Ossett you won’t need a permit, pay a council fee or wait on paperwork.
You can keep the skip for as long as you need, within reason, at no extra cost. Please call us to arrange collection once you’re done.
Most household, garden and DIY waste: furniture, wood, metal, plastics, packaging, garden waste, soil and rubble, bricks, tiles, carpets, kitchen units and general clearout junk. Mixed loads are fine. A few items need booking in or keeping separate, including fridges, tyres and mattresses. See the list of items that are not allowed in a skip. If you’re not sure about something, ring us before you load it.
No. The price you see covers delivery and collection, however long you keep the skip. A handful of special items carry a charge, agreed up front when you book: tyres £10 each, mattresses £20 each, fridges or freezers £100 each. Plasterboard costs nothing extra with us, and your skip sits on your own property, so there’s no permit fee either. Don’t overload the skip however, as that could incur additional cost.
